Across the whole DO family, selecting speakers is probably one of the most important parts of the event and we put a lot of time, thought and heart into it. A couple of weeks ago, we introduced you to the first four speakers from Australia's inaugural event this coming April and now we have the next four.
Whether your place is confirmed, you're still hoping to get a spot or even if you're just looking forward to tucking in to the AUS talks online, get familiar with these faces.

1. Will Dayble / Fire-starter
Passionate about making the world better, Will’s a pioneer, not a settler, who speaks on hype, style and disruption at events worldwide. After starting his first web company in high school, he never went to Uni but has since written and delivered courses at leading Australian universities. He's heavily involved in startup social entrepreneurship and charity work, providing consulting to not-for-profits across the world.
He's a featured writer at Medium & Smashing Magazine, a Director at Squareweave, founder of the transparency startup Clarity.io, co-owner of Grace Cafe, owns indie label ALL CAPS Records, DJs at parties around the world and he works intimately with The Pirate Bay on edge projects. His clients include big corporations, government, and a slew of startup enterprises.
In his spare time … oh, Will doesn’t have any.
2. Luke Pearson / Teacher and Creator of @IndigenousX
Luke Pearson is an experienced and dynamic educator and creator and administrator of Social Media project @IndigenousX. In other words, he is a top dude who is passionate about Indigenous education, literacy, numeracy and identity. Luke stands for credibility, experience and real results. As a social media advocate he has inspired many to implement or improve upon social media policies, strategies and campaigns.
In Luke, we are fortunate to host another lively and insightful public speaker at the inaugural Do Lectures Australia.
3. Shannon Eeles / Founder and Managing Director at CISCA
A diagnosis of autism in the family triggered Shannon’s remarkable journey on the road to improving educational quality and outcomes for children with ASD. The ultimate combination of interest, passion and incredible drive have seen her found The Centre for Inclusive Schooling of Children with Autism (CISCA), co-found the I.D.E.A. Program and the Little Learners Autism Program. On top of that, Shannon also holds the role of Deputy Chair of Amaze (Autism Victoria).
Do Lectures Australia can’t wait to hear from Shannon about her next amazing venture.
4. Tess and Graham Payne / Payne’s Hut Hosts
How do two city slickers come to live and thrive in an isolating, harsh, challenging, picturesque, remote environment in Australia?
Tess and Graham came from backgrounds including theatre costume design, owning a café, contemporary dancing and as a horse and cart tour operator. Over decades, they have built the property ‘Payne’s Hut’ to be a relaxing oasis. Look up and you realise everything you see was created by their hands. It’s a tribute to their hard work, the local area and Australia.
It seems easy for Tess and Graham to share fascinating local and worldly wisdom about care, generosity, building community and empowering others.
And in between using their spades and hammers they’ve co-created Do Lectures Australia. We’re looking forward to hearing Tess and Graham speak, on their property at the first Do Lectures Australia.
